While some SUVs are big and intimidating, others are nice and compact and much easier to drive. The Honda CR-V falls firmly into this latter category, which is one reason why it’s such a popular SUV.
Power and Performance
The 2020 Honda CR-V comes standard with a 190-horsepower 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). For a little more power you can go with the hybrid model that will give you 212 horsepower from its naturally-aspirated Atkinson-cycle 2.0-liter, inline 4-cylinder engine and two electric motors. The Honda CR-V has very good handling and a quiet cabin, so every ride will be a pleasant one.
Space and Comfort
The Honda CR-V has an extremely spacious cabin with a lot of leg- and headroom for up to five people. Cloth upholstery is standard, but you can upgrade to leather. Other add-ons include power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. As for cargo room, you won’t find many compact SUVs with more than what the 2020 Honda CR-V offers. You will get between 37.6 and 39.2 cubic feet (depending on the trim) behind the back row, and this increases to 75.8 cubic feet when it’s folded.
Tech and Safety
Standard tech features in the new Honda CR-V include a USB port, a user-friendly infotainment system with a 5-inch display, and Bluetooth®. You can also get Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay™, wireless device charging, satellite and HD radio and navigation. New Honda cars now come with many advanced safety features, and every 2020 Honda CR-V has adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, a rearview camera, and a collision mitigation braking system. Blind spot monitoring and front and rear parking sensors can also be added.
