What to Look for in a Used Honda Inspection

Are you contemplating a used Honda vehicle near Sherman Oaks, CA as your next purchase? Furthermore, if you plan on trading your vehicle, what is examined during the inspection? We answer these questions to give you a more detailed overview of what takes place during an inspection by our licensed technicians.

Used Vehicle Inspection

All vehicles that enter our pre-owned inventory undergo a basic inspection to ensure they’re in acceptable operable condition. While it doesn’t meet the qualifications required for designation as a Certified Pre-Owned car, it still has been looked at by one of our mechanics. If you trade in your vehicle, then it’s subject to the exact same inspections.

Components that are examined include:

  • The body panel for bents or rust
  • The windshield for chips
  • The tires for tread wear
  • A full look under the hood for hose leaks, frayed transmission belt, etc.
  • Wear and tear in the upholstery and dash
  • Fluid levels like the motor oil, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, etc.

These are all the same points we recommend car buyers quickly go through when purchasing a pre-owned car. Don’t take our word for it -- examine the car for yourself so you can be confident we did our due diligence.

Trading in Your Vehicle?

Now that you know what’s inspected, we recommend addressing these issues if you plan on trading in your vehicle to get the maximum value. Keep in mind that any existing deficiencies need to be addressed by our technicians, which take time and money. This translates to a reduced value for the trader.

If you’re interested in a pre-owned vehicle and/or a trade-in, then come by Keyes Honda. Our pre-owned inventory includes popular Honda models like the Honda CR-V and more.
