2019 Honda Pilot models are on their way to Honda dealerships across the
country, including Keyes Honda. With the 2018 Honda Pilot already a big hit with drivers here at our
dealership near Glendale, CA, we’re excited to take these new models for a spin
when they arrive.
The 2019 Honda Pilot has gained added off-road prowess, without losing
any of its day-to-day utility. The updated exterior reflects this newfound
attitude with an aggressive front fascia sporting standard LED low-beam
headlights. In the rear, new taillights with LED backup lights, a new bumper,
and chrome accents all add to the Honda SUV’s eye-catching appeal.
The 9-speed automatic transmission, available in 2019 Honda Pilot Touring
and Elite models, has been outfitted with new capabilities. When the car is in
Drive with light-to-moderate throttle,
the transmission will now start in second gear. This will provide drivers with
a smoother launch and lower speed acceleration. This second gear launch will
also be triggered when drivers have Intelligent Traction Management set to Snow
mode.
Honda Sensing®, the automaker’s innovative suite of safety and
driver-assistance technologies, comes standard in all 2019 Honda Pilot models.
The Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) with Forward Collision Warning, Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Lane
Keeping Assist System (LKAS), and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) are all yours,
with the option to add in other advanced features.
The Honda Pilot fills a unique niche in the automaker’s lineup. In their
review of the 2018 model, Car and Driver said that “…the [Honda] Pilot may be the
closest thing to a minivan without actually being a minivan, and that alone may
increase its appeal to buyers.” We can’t wait to learn more about what the 2019
model has in store.
To test drove the latest Honda cars, including some 2019 models that have
already arrived, head into Keyes Honda today.
