The 2019 Honda Fit just might be the perfect fit — or is that “perfect
Fit”? Besides the fact that it neatly splits the difference between a sedan and
an SUV, it also brings a significant change for 2019 that makes it better than
ever. If you want style, features, and more space than you thought a compact
could deliver, it’s time to get to Keyes Honda.
Much of the 2019 Honda Fit carries
over from last year’s redesigned model. The powertrain, looks, and most of the technology will look familiar to anyone who
was browsing last year. Of course, that’s to be expected when you come off a
major redesign.
That isn’t necessarily a bad
thing. There are some features we’d miss if they were gone or if Honda decided
to make big changes. One of our favorites in the Honda Fit is the Magic Seats.
Thanks to the gas tank being located farther forward in the vehicle (it’s
underneath the front row of seats), the Magic Seats can fold completely flat.
That gives you space that’s SUV-like in size, minus the height and mass.
There’s one significant change
this year. While we like the base LX trim and the somewhat better-equipped Sport trim, the upper EX and EX-L trims are the
only ones you can get with the Honda
Sensing active safety
suite. This year, that suite has automatic high beams for better visibility and
safety.
If you’re comparing model years,
we suggest getting the 2019 Honda Fit. The added safety features are always a
draw, but there’s also the fact that the newer model year will hold its resale
value longer even with so much else being equal. That said, the best way to
choose a car is from behind the wheel, so visit your Los Angeles area Honda
dealership at 5355 Van Nuys
Blvd in Van Nuys, CA and see what Keyes Honda can do for you.
