After
last year’s new generation redesign, there wasn’t much left to change on the 2019
Honda Accord.
That isn’t to say it isn’t still worth the trip to Keyes Honda. After all, some
of you were still on the fence this time last year, and others were waiting for
older Honda cars to come off lease. So consider this your second chance.
The
engine and transmission lineup remains mostly the same as last year. The lower-displacement
inline four-cylinder engine is gone from the Honda Accord Touring trim, but
otherwise the same engine choices, CVT, and ten-speed automatic transmission
return. Another repeat performance comes from the six-speed manual transmission
available to the Honda Accord Sport, making it a relative rarity within its
segment.
This
is also one of the few midsize cars available as either a sedan or a coupe. And
while we’d love to see all-wheel drive, the presence of the Honda Accord Hybrid
is more than adequate compensation.
Also
welcome: the Honda
Display Audio
infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.
And no matter which trim level, body style, or powertrain you choose, the Honda
Sensing suite of safety features (adaptive cruise control, lane departure
warning, and forward collision warning) comes standard. As with other new Honda models, stepping up in
the trim levels lets you tack on more features; on the safety front, this means
automatic emergency braking and lane keep assist, among others.
The
Honda Accord has always been dominant in its segment, and it’s stayed that way
because like its Honda brand stablemates, it’s always growing and evolving. Why
not stop by the Keyes Honda showroom at 5355 Van Nuys Blvd in Van Nuys, CA to
choose your body, trim, and options, then take a test drive? We’re close to San
Fernando and Los Angeles, and we’re always happy to help.
