Looking for a new car that will help you get around Los Angeles ? While you
certainly have a lot of choices, it’s important to find a vehicle that has good
maneuverability, a nice amount of power, and some of the newest safety
features, and the 2020
Honda Civic fits the bill in every category.
Power and Performance
There are three engines to choose from in the 2020 Honda
Civic. The base sedan comes with a 158-horsepower 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder engine,
while the hatchback has a 174-horsepower 1.5-liter, turbocharged 4-cylinder
engine. If you’re looking for more power than those can provide, the Type
R trim offers 306 horsepower from its turbocharged 4-cylinder engine.
All engines are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission,
but a continuously variable automatic (CVT) is available for all but the Type R
trim. With its standard front-wheel drive, the Honda Civic has good pick-me-up,
as well as great handling, even around sharp turns.
Space and Comfort
The new Honda
Civic seats up to five people in its roomy cabin. Cloth upholstery comes
standard, but leather trim is available. Heated front seats, power-adjustable
front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel can also be added. As for
cargo space, the sedan offers 15.1 cubic feet in the trunk, and the hatchback
will give you a total of 46.2 cubic feet when the back row is down.
Tech and Safety
Standard tech features in the 2020 Honda Civic include a USB
port, a 4-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth®. There are also numerous extras
you can get, such as proximity keyless entry, remote start, satellite and HD
radio, wireless device charging, Android Auto™, and Apple CarPlay™. The Honda
Civic also has many components that can help keep you safe. Every model comes
with lane departure warning, a rearview camera, a pre-collision warning and
braking system, and lane-keep assist. Blind spot monitoring is also available.
