The Honda Accord is a beloved midsize sedan that’s also one of the oldest in the Honda lineup. Many consumers have wondered whether there’s a Honda Accord Electric available. It should be noted the model does not have an all-electric version, though it does have a hybrid variant, which we’ll discuss at length.
Performance
The Honda Accord Hybrid is powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with two electric motors. Assisted by a lithium-ion battery, the vehicle produces an output of 212 hp and 232 lb-ft of torque. It can also accelerate from zero to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds.
Hybrid Technology
The 2022 Accord Hybrid offers innovative hybrid-focused technology systems that aid in its performance. Via the center touchscreen, you'll be able to monitor the energy flow between the engine and electric motor in real time. There are also three drive modes that utilize different aspects of performance to ensure optimal efficiency; these include the ECON, Sport, and EV modes. The EV mode, for example, lets you operate solely on the electric motor.
Interior
The Honda Accord Hybrid has an eight-inch touchscreen that comes standard, as are Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay®. A navigation system and wireless charger are included as well. The cabin is also quite luxurious with its faux-wood trim and soft-touch materials. A leather steering wheel comes standard starting from the Sport trim.
Exterior
For the 2022 model, the headlights have a sleeker appearance, and the grille has also expanded in size, allowing for greater air intake. 17-inch alloy wheels are standard, with beefier 19-inch alloy wheels for the Sport and Touring trims.
